Alumni Career Mentors and Employers
Building the Bear Network
The Bear Network is an ever growing network of alumni and friends who provide advice and insight, connect prospective students to UNC, and hire current students and alumni in companies across the United States. Alumni career advisors and employers are integral to building and expanding the Bear Network through their involvement and advocacy.
Put this network to work for you by attending online and in-person career events, connecting on LinkedIn, volunteering with an alumni group in your area, or by posting or finding a job through the Center for Career Readiness.
Bears Hire Bears
Join the growing group of alumni who recruit fellow UNC Bears to fulfill their workforce and talent needs. From online job postings to UNC sponsored career events and fairs, there are many opportunities to hire a fellow UNC Bear. Visit the Center for Career Readiness Employer Resources for more information.
Alumni Career Mentors
The Bear Network offers students and alumni invaluable career insight and connections. The Office of Alumni Relations recruits and matches fellow Bears based on industry and professional affiliations. If you are looking for a mentor or want to be a mentor, please reach out to the alumni staff.
Request an Alumni Career Mentor
Students, recent graduates and alumni transitioning careers may request an alumni career mentor by reaching out to Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Teresa Castro at Teresa.Castro@sh-qjwh.com.
Become an Alumni Career Mentor
We are always recruiting new volunteers and you can sign up using the Get Involved Form. Once you sign up, you will be added to the list for possible matches. Don't be concerned if you are not matched with a student right away. Alumni Career Mentors are matched based on student or faculty request.
